Taylor Swift Responds to Private Jet Criticism | Entertainment news

Taylor Swift has hit back at critics after she topped the list of celebrities who have taken the most private flights.
The “Shake It Off” hitmaker has been charged with environmental damage after her plane made 170 flights between January 1 and July 19, 2022.
Research compiled by the Yard revealed that Taylor, 32, spent more than 22,000 minutes in the air – the equivalent of 16 days – but a representative for the star claimed she was not solely responsible for the emissions.
They told Rolling Stone: “Taylor’s plane is regularly rented out to other individuals. To attribute most or all of these trips to her is patently incorrect.”
The study claims other celebrities are to blame for harming the planet, including former boxer Floyd Mayweather, legendary director Steven Spielberg and talk show legend Oprah Winfrey.
Meanwhile, Taylor admitted she went through a “very difficult time” during her public spat with music mogul Scooter Braun.
The pop star was embroiled in a public spat with Brown after he purchased her back catalog in a big-money deal and allegedly placed restrictions on her performing hits live.
Taylor reflected on the tumultuous time while speaking at the New York screening of her new film All Too Well: The Short Film and said of the feud, “It was a very difficult time for me. Many of my hardest moments and moments of extreme grief or loss have become part of what my life looks like now.’
Swift directed the project, which starred Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink, and says it marked a new chapter in her career.
She told the audience: “(It’s) me stepping away from what I normally do, which is writing songs and singing them … It was a vulnerable moment when you’re on the verge of finding something new and I just really hope that you all make it perfect. It’s also important to remind yourself that you don’t have to do everything perfectly because you have to learn and grow.”
