Teran Egerton does not know when the next “Kingsman” sequel will begin filming.

The Golden Globe winner won international acclaim for his role as Gary “Eggy” Unwin in the Kingsman spy comedy franchise, starring in two films, and is set to reprise the role in the fourth installment, Kingsman: Blue Bloods, which is currently in development from script and directed by Matthew Vaughn.

However, Egerton revealed that he still doesn’t know when the film will begin production, telling Collider: “Unfortunately, it’s still in development. You should ask Matthew [Vaughn] about that, I’m sure you’ll talk to him soon, but trying to get information from this guy is like trying to get blood from a stone.

Kingsman: The Blue Blood is the upcoming fourth installment in the franchise, following the 2019 prequel The King’s Man, in which Egerton was not involved.

Egerton will reprise his role for the last time in the final installment, which is expected to be released in 2023 and will serve as the conclusion of the story of Egerton and Colin Firth’s characters.

However, the actor said that his next role will require him to get back in shape.

He added: “It’s so lame, I wish I could tell you about it, but it looks like I’ll be shooting something in the last quarter of this year. Very, very, very different, but it will probably require me to start thinking about getting back into shape and all that.”

Egerton recently completed filming Tetris, a film that tells the story of the game’s creation. He plays Dutch video game designer Hank Rogers.

Egerton said: “It’s really fun. Very different in tonality, but goes very well together. I’m really excited about it.”
