The Diocese of Alentovna announces the new appointment of the priest – the Morning Bell

Bishop Alfred Schlert of the Diocese of Allentown announced on Sunday new appointments for diocesan priests.

“Each year, the bishop works with the Collegiate Council of Priests, an advisory body made up of experienced priests from the diocese and its many regions and ministries to decide on new assignments,” the diocese said in a press release. “The new assignments are designed to meet the needs of the faithful in 80 parishes of the diocese, as well as to meet the pastoral needs of college campuses, hospitals, diocesan high schools, and prisons and nursing homes.”

Priests are reappointed for a number of reasons noted in the diocese, including because of retirement, requests from clergy, professional development of priests and the need for certain skills or talents that are well suited for a particular ministry.

The following assignments take effect on June 21, 2022, unless otherwise noted.
