The Lihai County Pub closes almost 15 years later – The Morning Call

A popular place for beer, burgers and billiards, it has ceased operations in Likhai County.

Pub on Maine, 102 E. Main St. in Makungi, closed forever after nearly 15 years of operation.

In a message posted on the company’s Facebook page on Friday, management called the reason for closing the fight to find enough staff.

“There are simply not enough people to work today,” the statement said. “And many of our employees are waiting for the next section and we are very happy for them! Thank you for all your support over the years. ”

The pub on Maine opened in 2008 when Franco Armet and Brian Faye acquired the former Macungie pub on East Maine and Lea streets, according to The Morning Call.

The establishment with indoor and seasonal outdoor seating had a full bar with classic and signature cocktails as well as bottled and canned draft beer.

It also offered a la carte meals such as burgers, cheese steaks, chicken wings, tortillas and first courses such as iron steaks and fish in batter. Popular weekly promotions included a $ 5 margarita and two beef or chicken tacos for $ 5 on Tuesdays and buy one burger, and on Wednesdays get a $ 4 discount.

Entertainment included a TV, jukebox, pool table, karaoke and live music evenings.

As of 5pm on Friday, the post has garnered more than 80 posts and 30 comments, mostly from long-time customers complaining about the loss and expressing warm wishes to the owners.

“So sad,” wrote one man. “Thank you for many wonderful evenings with dinner and drinks!”
