The Lion of Nitani Shrine and other landmarks in Penn State are destroyed

State College (KDKA) – Lion of Nitani Shrine and other iconic buildings on campus were destroyed at night.

The university said the suspects broke their ears and sprayed red paint on the shrine.

In addition, red paint was used for graffiti Old Main and Hintz Family Alumni Center.

The vandalism took place on a busy weekend when students were graduating from school and walking to attractions for photography.

“I think it’s really disrespectful, and I’m not sure what the intentions were behind this, perhaps a protest, but I think it’s sad and I hope it never happens again,” said Nathan Wisniewski, a state graduate. Pennsylvania 2022.

Now the territory is fenced, as the police are conducting an inspection.
