The man killed in a shooting in Allentown has been identified

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the 28-year-old fatally shot early Saturday morning in Allentown as Jalil Akiel Stiller.

An autopsy completed Monday indicated that Stiller’s cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release from County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. He considered death a murder.

There was no information about the other person wounded in the shooting. Officials did not release the man’s name, but said the other person killed is expected to survive his injuries.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Saturday near 15th and Union streets, according to the release.

Stiller was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m. Saturday at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital in Salisbury Township. His death was the sixth homicide in the city during that time.

City police and the Coroner’s Office, as well as the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Homicide Task Force, are investigating.
