The MCCC conducts face-to-face and virtual career fairs

BLUE BELL – Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet potential employers during the Montgomery County Quarry Spring Fair (MCCC). The event, scheduled for Thursday, April 14, offers participants a choice: in person or online.
Part of the campus will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the atrium of the Medical Sciences Center on the Blue Bell MCCC campus. The virtual session will take place from 16 to 18 hours via Zoom.
“This event will be open to a variety of employers and industries,” said Takisha Mandi, Director of Careers and Alumni Interaction. “The community is welcome. We encourage everyone to come. ” Participation in the fair of professions is free.
According to Mandy, participants do not need to register for any session. She adds that participants should be professionally dressed, have copies of their resumes and be prepared to also share resumes electronically.
During the day, participants will have the opportunity to chat with potential employers at their individual desks.
Mandy said the evening quarry fair has the same expectations for employers looking to hire. Those who plan to take part in the online event can find the link at the link www.mc3.edu/events.
“Guests will be welcomed in our main Zoom hall and they will be able to attract employers to unit rooms,” she said in an email reply to the question, adding that staff will be on site / attend both events to respond to questions and give guidance ”.
Among the companies scheduled to attend Friday afternoon: Walmart, Philadelphia Police Department, Fedex Ground, Bayada Home Health Care, Transportation Security Administration – Philadelphia, Allied Universal Security Services, George W. Hill Correctional Facility, Childcare Careers, Foundations Behavioral Health, Test Equity, LLC, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Credit Union TruMark, HB Leisure, Primark USA Corp., Greater Philadelphia YMCA, CIMA Network, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, GSK and AON.
The Quarry Fair will be the culmination of MCCC Career Week during the spring of 2022. Activities during the week include “Lunch Live” on @ careerservicesmc3 An Instagram account on Monday, April 11, is dedicated to how to stand out in an interview.
On April 12, the Career and Alumni Engagement team will organize an online career workshop “Career Preparation, Success 4 Dresses,” from noon to 1 p.m.
“The focus will be on how to prepare for the fair, what questions to ask, the fight against nerves and the elevator step,” – added Mandy.
On Wednesday, April 13, the Career and Alumni Engagement team will host a Professional Dress Fashion Show party from noon to 2pm in the atrium of the Center for Advanced Technology on the Blue Bell campus.
Career trainers are available to help job seekers develop, evaluate and effectively initiate educational and career goals.
