The 95th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC have announced that next year’s ceremony will take place in March at the Dolby Theater, the earliest since 2020.

Voting on the Oscar nominations will take place from 12 to 17 January with the announcement of the nominations on 24 January.

The final vote will take place from March 2 to 7 and will end five days before the Oscars.

The academy announced on its website: “The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced that the 95th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023. The show will be broadcast live on ABC and more than 200 locations around the world from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood Applause.

After three years of homeless ceremonies, Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes have been declared MC missionaries of the 2022 Awards.

They were the first female trio in Oscar history, and the show was the first time the three presenters presented the event after Paul Hogan, Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn 35 years ago.

Sumer revealed that she had been approached in the past, but she declined, saying, “I just feel like we’re coming out of this pandemic and I think we all have this new life and I want to take the Oscars. I want to speak, and I want to tell jokes, and to do it with Wanda and Regina – it’s not in my wildest dreams.
