The Salt-N-Pepa star accuses “openly sexy” rappers Celebrities

Cheryl James of Salt-N-Pepa believes rappers should dress more conservatively.

The 56-year-old star believes that Nicki Minaj has “led” among women rappers over the past decade – but she is not a fan of the current trend.

Cheryl, known as Salt, said: “There have been no women for a long time.

“There was a big gap, and then Nicki Minaj came out and she led the attack. Then all these women started following her.

“But there’s only a certain type, and he’s openly sexy.”

Salt-N-Pepa became famous in the 80s, but the hip-hop band has always preferred a more conservative approach to fashion, especially compared to such as Nicki, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

But now Cheryl has speculated that there is a link between sexual attractiveness and success in the charts.

She said in a column in The Sun’s Bizarre column: “It feels like there’s an assertion that the sexier you are, the better.”

Cardi and Megan had previously come under fire for their hit “WAP”.

But afterwards Cardi responded to critics, insisting that the obvious song was in fact “really normal”.

She said: “People who are worried about the song are usually, for example, conservatives or really religious, great religious people.

“But my thing is … I grew up listening to that kind of music so other people could [think it’s] strange and vulgar, but for me it’s really normal. “

Despite this, Cardi admitted she would not allow her children to listen to the recording.

The 29-year-old rap star, who has three years of culture and eight months of Wave, along with her husband Offset, said: “It’s like, of course, I don’t want my child to listen to this song and all that, but it’s like .. It’s for adults! ”
