The School District of Philadelphia will resume masks for 10 days after winter break

In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses in schools, reduce absenteeism and prioritize in-person learning after the winter break, the School District of Philadelphia will reinstate mandatory mask wearing for students and staff for 10 days after the winter break. break – from January 3 to 13, 2023.

This implementation is part of the district general COVID-19 protocol for the 2022-2023 academic year which was shared in August.

District employees, students and families can obtain free home-testing kits for COVID-19 at five school test items while supplies last. SDP testing locations will be closed on December 26 and January 2 for federal holidays.
