The South Asian Lancaster Association will host the annual Holi / Color Run color festival on April 9th.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Nefsville Park, 209 East Petersburg Road.

Holi is an Indian spring holiday, “a season of new growth, renewal and hope,” the press release said. “In the historical scriptures, the feast of Holly means the victory of good over evil.”

Events at Nafsville Park will include puja, or traditional rituals; colors, or brightly pigmented powder thrown on a holiday; kite flying; water balloons; and games. Admission is $ 15 for non-SAAL members, from 5 years old and includes Indian food, snacks and cookies.
