TARENTUM (KDKA) – At about 12:30 today the western strips of the Taranto Bridge reopened.

The long-term closure has been in effect since June 9 for the Tarentum PennDOT bridge rehabilitation project, which will lead to several repairs to the bridge and completely close the bridge.

Stripes to the east reopened on June 13, and strips to the west reopened today.

The $ 3.24 million project included new modified linings, steel repairs, replacement of support and expansion dams, concrete repairs and painting of ramp B area of ​​Route 366.

One-lane overlaps will continue to occur in the western lanes as the full project is expected to be completed by autumn.
