The Village of Dunwoody in Newtown, Delaware County hosts its annual holiday bazaar on November 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The bazaar is the culmination of many hours of preparation by Dunwoody residents who organize the event and collect and create items to sell. All proceeds from the event are used to enhance Dunwoody’s resident programs.
“Traditionally, the bazaar involves a lot of our residents through various groups and committees,” said resident Lucy Irwin, who is chairing this year’s event. “It’s been three years since we’ve been able to invite the surrounding community to Dunwoody for this show, and there’s so much energy!”
Excitement for this year’s bazaar is heightened not only because the bazaar has been canceled for the past two years due to restrictions related to COVID-19, but also because the event will take place in a brand new hall, which is part of the newly renovated community of Budynak .
The bazaar features a wide variety of goods, including unique handmade items, holiday decorations, attic treasures, costume jewelry, baked goods, houseplants and more. Visitors can also take a chance on the hoop baskets.
