Police are searching for a man caught on surveillance video stealing two cash registers from a Philadelphia pet store.

The video from the surveillance cameras shows how the man, having broken in, climbed under the countertop and pulled out one of the registers. The Philadelphia Police Department said about $300 was inside each car.

The theft at Doggie Style Pets at 1635 Spruce Street happened on Sept. 11 around 3:39 a.m. after the suspect entered by breaking the front door glass, PPD said.

In the video, he was wearing black pants and a black hoodie, as well as a white mask. He was also wearing a red and white hat and dark New Balance trainers and was described as thin.

Police asked anyone with information to send tips by phone or text to 215-686-TIPS (8477) or via PPD online form.
