Top weekend deals: Epic PC game sales, 1Password subscription and more

Ars Technica

It’s the weekend, which means it’s time for another Dealmaster. Our latest selection of the best technical offers from all over the Internet includes many discounts on good computer games. Most of them are related to the return of the annual “Epic Games Store”Mega sale”Which started earlier this week and will run until June 16.

As in the case previous promotions from the Epic PC showcase, the new sale is most typical of the offerings unlimited coupon this applies to any purchase of $ 14.99. In previous sales, the coupon was a flat discount of $ 10, but Epic says it will now give a 25 percent discount. That means you won’t save as much as you used to on less expensive games – the $ 15 game, which would have dropped to $ 5 after applying the coupon in previous sales, will now cost $ 11.25, but you’ll get a little more if games will be closer to full price. For example, a newer game like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawhich usually costs $ 50 on PC, can be obtained for $ 37.49 after using the coupon here.

You will need to log in to your Epic account and request a coupon manually first, but once you do, it will automatically renew after each use until the sale ends next month. Note that you need to have games worth at least $ 14.99 in your cart to apply a coupon: Something like Elysium Disco, favorite Ars which sells for $ 14, by itself it will not be eligible for an additional 25 percent discount, but if you add another discounted game to the cart to exceed the $ 15 threshold, the coupon will apply to both titles separately when ordering. As with previous Epic sales, the coupon does not apply to DLC or in-game purchases, and will not work with pre-orders.

Because the coupon is compiled in addition to regular discounts, many prices here are lower than those we’ve seen on sales at competing storefronts such as Steam or Humble. So to help you find a bargain again, we have analyzed the entire selection of Epic to choose the discounts that we think are most worthy of your attention. You can find our full list of choices below, but some highlights include the new lows Ars-approved Zelda-how Tunic, satisfying rogueelite Rogue Legacy 2and other popular 2022 games such as kung fu fight Sifu and the above LEGO Star Wars. I like blockbuster ports for PC Red Dead Redemption 2, God of warand Death Stranding as cheap as we’ve seen, and several smaller-scale games we like it also at lows or almost to lows. Epic says it will also continue to hand out free games every week as part of the sale; for starters, that is Borderlands 3. If you don’t do see the game you want in our list, we recommend using a price tracking site, for example IsThereAnyDeal to ensure you get a real discount.

If you can’t add more games to your backlog, our collection has many more exciting offers, including discounts on a handy 1Password password manager, Hulu subscriptions, AirPods, a great LG OLED TV, recommended board games and microSD cards, and more. You can find our full vault below.
