LANSDALE — State Sen. Bob Mensch, R-24, hosted his 9th annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Sept. 17 at Upper Perkiomen High School.

“Historically, Pennsylvanians have answered the call to defend freedom in staggering numbers. Our commonwealth is home to one of the largest groups of veterans in the country,” Mensch said. “I believe we owe it to all veterans to honor their service and contributions in both peacetime and war.”
Brigadier General John R. Pippi was the keynote speaker at the event. Dr. Jim Archieri, pastor of Community Bible Fellows Church, gave the benediction and benediction.
Veterans also enjoyed patriotic songs performed by the Upper Perkiomen High School Girls’ Choir and the national anthem by Upper Perkiomen High School student Stella Feenstra. Attendees were also able to obtain Veteran IDs from the Montgomery County Registrar of Deeds.
Various organizations were available to provide veterans with a variety of information and services, including: Berks County Department of Veterans Affairs, Korean War Vietnam Veterans of Pennsylvania, American-Korean Alliance Korean War Memorial, Peace Park, Montgomery County Department of Veterans Affairs, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Office-Jeanne Sorg, Montgomery and Bucks County Veterinary Center, State Representative Milo McKenzie, State Representative Tracy Penicuick, Tails of Valor, Paws of Honor Program, Inc., Brotherhood of Veterans and Vets for Vets.
