Video shows police chase after drive-by shooting outside Shepard Entertainment Center – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police have released a disturbing new video A high-speed chase in West Philadelphia on Wednesday ended with a crash and the arrest of three men who allegedly shot into a crowd and injured five people last week.

According to the police, five people were shot in the roadway near Shepard Recreation Center at 57th Street and Haverford Avenue in the Haddington area on August 16.

When the shooting happened, District Attorney Larry Krasner and Mayor Jim Kenney said at a press conference that the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud.

“Unfortunately, this is a gang-involved incident in Philadelphia,” Krasner said, adding that law enforcement would not identify the groups involved.

The three people injured in the shooting were targeted as they were leaving the outdoor basketball courts at the recreation center, officials said. The other two victims were accidental victims.

The victims have not been identified, except for their ages and the extent of their injuries. A 22-year-old man was shot in the right arm, a 21-year-old man was shot in the head and was in critical condition Tuesday night, a third man was shot in the head and was also in critical condition. A 25-year-old man was seriously wounded in the right shoulder, and a 17-year-old victim was wounded in the neck.

Three men in a white Dodge Durango SUV that crashed near the scene of the shooting have been arrested in connection with the shooting, police said. Two suspects are believed to remain at large.

“Several rifles and handguns” were found inside the SUV, police said.
