Volunteers are needed to clean Pigeon Creek in East Coventry – Daily Local

East Coventry – The township continues the annual tradition of sponsoring Pigeon Creek Cleanup as part of Earth Day celebrations.

At a recent meeting, the supervisory board approved to sponsor the Pigeon Creek cleanup between Route 724 to the Shuilkil River.

Individuals or groups interested in maintaining the cleanliness and ecology of East Coventry are invited to volunteer a few hours of their time to participate in this annual public flow cleanup initiative.

Volunteers will receive appliances, garbage bags and other materials. Volunteers are encouraged to wear boots and dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the cleaning.

Interested volunteers should gather at the Schuylkill River Trail (Address for Maps: 320 Linfield Road, Pottstown, PA 19465), located at the intersection of Bethel Church Road and Route 724, at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23. Rain April 30 Saturday, 10 a.m.
