WARRINGTON – In response to an outpouring of support and goodwill from the public following the sudden death of Officer Stephen Plama Jr., the Warrington City Police Department has announced the creation of a GoFundMe page in support of the deceased officer’s family.
Officer Plum was an eight-year veteran of the police and a K-9 Murphy handler.
“Officer Plam’s contagious laughter, smile and heart affected everyone around him,” the CrimeWatch report said. “He was a devoted husband and father. He leaves Nancy’s wife, four sons and a daughter.
“Officer Plum will be very sad not only for his family but also for his brothers and sisters in law enforcement and our community. Behind every strong policeman is an even stronger family that stands by their side, supports them and definitely loves them.
“Good” is a word that comes up every time Steve’s name is mentioned, the message continues. “Please share this message as we come together to support this grieving family.”
Donations will be used to support Nancy and their families during this difficult time and on what they may face in the future. For those who feel more comfortable handing a donation in person, donations are accepted at the Warrington Police Department headquarters at 2330 Lower Barness Road, Warrington 18976.
As of noon on May 17, just under $ 13,000 had been collected in the account.
“I am very sorry. It’s my birthday money, but I want it with you, ”10-year-old Michael wrote. “My dream is to become a K9 officer when I grow up.”
“Our hearts are with your family,” Ed and Kim Lamberty wrote.
