According to a new survey of more than 350 respondents, Americans are not achieving their financial health goals.
Poll, conducted by Wallethub, a personal finance website, respondents asked reflect on your overall financial health.
Here’s what they had to say:
More than half Americans – 53 percent – reported that they are not on the way to retirement or didn’t know if they were or not.
Forty-nine percent of the respondents said they are prepared for a financial emergency, compared to 30 percent who said they were not prepared. Another 21 percent of respondents said they did not know whether they were prepared for a financial emergency or not.
Respondents to the Wallethub poll expressed skepticism about credit scores, p more than 30 percent respondents say they are do not trust credit scores.
Most respondents – 55 percent – also said that only a credit score will not help them manage their finances.
Tips and planning
The poll also showed that at the time 40 percent of respondents said that Fr. “A full review of their financial health would be very helpful,” 62 percent said said they “I don’t feel like they’re getting holistic financial advice right now.”
Wallethub also found that young people almost 3 times more often than in people over 59 years of age to say it “A full review of their financial health would be very helpful.”
If they are asked to assess in which component of their financial health they need help the most, 44 percent of respondents said Investment or retirement.
