Wilson, Twin Valley to win BCIAA girls’ lacrosse title after semi-final

Wilson rallied after four goals and lost to a player in the final 21 minutes to beat Governor Mifflin 16-14 on Tuesday in the BCIAA Lacrosse semifinal for girls at West Lawn.
In the second semifinal, champion Twin Valley defeats Wyoming 17-2.
The second-seeded Bulldogs (15-4) and Raiders (18-1) will meet last Thursday at Albright College at 6 p.m.
Wilson lost 11-7 to 23:01 after Mifflin scored the first two goals in the second half.
The Bulldogs have scored three in a row and eight of the next nine goals, increasing the score to 14-12. Kyle Wilkes put Wilson ahead 13-12.
Alexa Kairis has scored the last three goals of the Bulldogs, including the 100th of her career, making the score 16-14 at 1:06 before the end.
Kairis finished with seven goals, and Wilkes had five goals and one assist. Ainsley McLain scored three goals and Maria Sasaran made 10 saves for Wilson.
Mifflin (12-6) Sofia Stanislavchik has five goals and two assists, Eliza Enriquez has four goals and two assists, and Mia Bailhart has three goals and four assists.
In the Twin Valley, Anna Kaplan had three goals and five assists when the Raiders beat the Spartans, seeded fourth-placed (12-6).
Julia Givens and Emma Raines scored four goals each and gave the assist, while Jade Shearer scored four goals for Twin Valley, who led 12-1 in the half.
