DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The top Powerball prize was about $825 million in Saturday night’s drawing, but it was not immediately known if there was a winner.
Winning numbers announced at 11pm on Saturday: 19, 31, 40, 46, 57, 23.
The estimated $825 million jackpot is the second largest in Powerball history. Strong ticket sales boosted the estimate from $800 million on Friday, according to Powerball.
If there is no winner, the next drawing may offer an even bigger prize.
It’s been nearly three months since someone picked all six numbers and won the lottery’s top prize, thanks to Powerball’s massive one-to-292.2 million odds.
The largest jackpot in US history was the $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot won by three ticket holders in 2016.
Powerball is played in 45 states as well as Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
